Glitter Dice Plays: Fiasco, Part Two (Act I)

Part two of a three-part Special Episode series celebrating our one-year anniversary, the Glitter Dice Podcast plays Bully Pulpit Games' Fiasco! Fiasco is described as "an award-winning, GM-less game for 3-5 players, designed to be played in a few hours with six-sided dice and no preparation. During a game you will engineer and play out stupid, disastrous situations, usually at the intersection of greed, fear, and lust." This episode covers Act I and the Tilt.

Glitter Dice Plays: Fiasco, Part One (Setup and Character Creation)

Part one of a three-part Special Episode series celebrating our one-year anniversary, the Glitter Dice Podcast plays Bully Pulpit Games' Fiasco! Fiasco is described as "an award-winning, GM-less game for 3-5 players, designed to be played in a few hours with six-sided dice and no preparation. During a game you will engineer and play out stupid, disastrous situations, usually at the intersection of greed, fear, and lust." This episode covers the Setup and character creation.

Episode Thirteen - Hurts So Good

In our first episode of our second season, we discuss choices in roleplaying that may not be the best for our characters but benefit the narrative. In "What Are You Playing?" we cover larp After the End, and indie darling Gone Home. Our "Off Topic" for this month is Rick and Morty and some of the backlash against its female fans and writers, with a little extra about what it's like to be a woman who's into comic books.

Episode Twelve - A Place of Our Own

This episode we discuss a concept fundamental to the creation of the Glitter Dice Podcast and how it impacts gaming spaces. In "What Are You Playing" we talk the Escapery and other themed escape rooms, larps Garden of Destinies, Simulacra and After the End, mindbending puzzle platformer Catherine, and indie tabletop teen monster game Monsterhearts. Our "Off Topic" is Studio Ghibli.

Episode Ten - This is War!

A larp-heavy episode as the die commands we reminisce about some of our favorite gaming experiences. In "What Are You Playing?" we discuss dad dating simulator Dream Daddy, FB app game Crunch Time, and Joie finally gives her review of magical college larp New World Magischola. In "Off Topic" we plan for DragonCon and discuss all the things we're looking forward to doing at the convention.

Episode Nine - Accessibility and Inclusion

The die lands on a more serious topic and we dedicate more time than usual to talking about accessibility and inclusion in gaming spaces. In "What Are You Playing?" we discuss LARP After the End, Fallout 4, Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Mario Kart, and indie game Kindergarden. Our "Off Topic" is theme parks and how they've integrated 3D and gaming elements.

Episode Eight - It Builds Character

The die decides it's time to focus on building character--and worlds! In "What are You Playing?" we discuss app games Angry Birds Transformers, Sailor Moon Drops, Candy Crush and Pokemon Go, as well as Hearthstone, Walking Dead Season 2 (the game), and Unravel. Plus an update on New World Magischola. In "Off Topic" we muse about the upcoming Wonder Woman movie and our high hopes despite DCs wobbly track record.

Episode Six - Always Better to Be a Dragon

In this episode, the die gives us a topic central to character creation in gaming and we consider D&D, White Wolf, Tolkien, Bioware and other sci-fi and fantasy games and literature while discussing it. In "What Are You Playing?" we talk about larps Garden of Destinies and Calamity, Hearthstone, and indie video game, Inside. Our "Off Topic" is anime with a few blasts from the past!

Episode Five - Lovefest/Hatefest

In this episode we consider some of the best and worst aspects of our favorite tabletop games and deviate into a brief aside about larping to fit your environment. In "What Are You Playing?" we discuss Ryuutama, Murdered: Soul Suspect, Sailor Moon Drops, and larps Underground Theater, Garden of Destinies and Calamity! Our "Off Topic" isn't too far off this month as we speculate about Mass Effect: Andromeda and previous Bioware games.

Episode Four - Behind the Screen

The die asks us what it's like to be a woman behind the GM screen where we talk about everything from D&D 5E to Changeling (both versions), to running a LARP. We discuss playing the LARPs Eclipse, After the End, and Garden of Destinies, as well as Pokemon Go, Angry Birds Transformers and the board game Dixit in "What Are You Playing?" and our "Off Topic" topic this month is convention cosplay. Join us for our fourth episode, won't you?

Episode Two - Let's Get Critical

We're back with episode two, where rolling the dice forces us to tackle a somewhat difficult subject as women in gaming. We also discuss the board game Forbidden Desert, and console games Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past and The Cave in "What Are You Playing?" Our "Off-Topic," topic for this month is the Harry Potter universe, local fan convention CONjuration, and excitement about the new Fantastic Beasts movie (no spoilers)!

Episode One - What's Love Got to Do With It?

We're very proud to present the very first episode of the Glitter Dice Podcast! Because it's the first episode, we take a few minutes to introduce ourselves and explain our gaming histories, then roll the die to determine our first topic of discussion. In "What Are You Playing," we discuss 7th Sea, Hearthstone, After the End LARP, Telltale Games and Dragon Age Inquisition. Our "Off Topic" discussion starts with Think Geek but quickly goes off topic from there, and Feline co-host Morpheus makes his opinion known.
